The Wildlife Park’s Wildlights Festival would give National Lampoons’ Clark Griswald a run for his money when it comes to putting up a lot of lights this holiday season. The Wildlights Festival exhibition is a unique experience to say the least. With 380+ rope light sculptures and over half a million lights in various nature themes this holiday tradition promises to be fun for the whole family.
Speaking of the whole family, Uncle Chris the Clown will be visiting the Wildlights Festival daily to help spread Christmas cheer. Enjoy Uncle’s Chris’s jokes and magic tricks while sipping hot chocolate by the bond fires setup to help keep everyone warm. They will have mini train rides through the park and the Wildlights Maze will be setup for all to enjoy as well.
Please make sure you bring some blankets and gloves etc. and dress according to the weather as the lights, sculptures and activities are all outside. That said, there is a warming area there if you need to rest your legs, grab a bite to eat and warm up. The Wildlights Festival is wheelchair accessible and they do have some wagons etc for children but bringing your own strollers or wagons is the best way to guarantee your family’s comfort during your visit.
There are nightly laser light shows to music and the Kamloops Home Hardware Farm display will be there for the animal lovers in your life and don’t forget to say hi to our favourite big fuzzy friend, Santa! The big man himself will be visiting with kids from December 13th – December 24th. The BC Wildlife Park’s Wildlights Festival Experience will be open from 5 pm to 9pm daily from December 13th to January 5th 2020.
