The Kamloops Santa Claus parade is wonderful Christmas tradition and it is going to light up the night this year. The 2019 Santa Clause Parade will be hosted downtown on November 17th but instead of the traditional morning parade it will be hosted in the evening this year. Starting at 4pm Sunday evening the parade will focus on the Power of Community, which is this years theme. The floats promise to be brilliantly lit up with Christmas lights and decorations to help fuel your Christmas spirit and as usual there will be carries there to collect your letters for Santa.
For those that will be attending make sure you pack some chairs and blankets to stay warm and comfortable and it wouldn’t hurt to bring a thermos of hot chocolate or your favourite warm Christmas beverage. Parking is free downtown on Sunday but you might want to show up a bit early to get a good spot.
If you’re a social media enthusiast we need your help to increase Christmas spirit in Kamloops by using #christmasinkamloops on Instagram to share your experiences with the rest of Kamloops on our Instagram page. For those of you who cant make it this year, Christmas In Kamloops will be streaming the parade live to their Facebook page for all to enjoy.
If you’re a company or a non profit group interested in participating in the Parade the investment is a minimal $100 fee and if you’re representing a non-profit the fee is only $50 and you can register online here. The 2019 Santa Claus parade is organized by Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association and presented this year by Thompson Rivers University.
